Jack A. Walker, Q.C.

Jack A. Walker is a partner in the law firm of Walker Poole Nixon LLP where he specializes in municipal assessment and tax litigation. He was called to the bar with Honours in 1967. He has appeared before tribunals and courts across Canada on assessment matters. He has lectured at Osgoode Hall Law School, the University of Toronto. He was a member of the Legal Committee of the International Association of Assessing Officers, chair and founding member of the Education Committee of the International Property Tax Institute and a faculty advisor to the Lincoln Land Institute. He has written extensively on assessment and taxation and is co-author of Ontario Property Tax Assessment Handbook with Jerry Grad, editor of Ontario Assessment Legislation and contributor to the International Property Tax Institute's publications and journal. 



Richard N. Poole

B.A., J.D., a graduate of the University of Toronto Law School, was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1973. Richard provided counsel to Metro Toronto's Regional Assessment Commissioners on retainer to the Ministry of Revenue for five years. Since 1978, his practice has been restricted exclusively in the field of municipal law with a particular emphasis on property tax and assessment law. Richard is a founding partner of Walker Poole Nixon. He is a past president of the Canadian Property Tax Association. 



J. Bradford Nixon


B.A., LL.B., M.B.A., a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1982 and practiced administrative and civil litigation. Brad was a Member of the Provincial Legislature for York Mills from 1987 to 1990. He served as Executive Director for the Office of the Official Opposition at Queen's Park (1990-1992). Brad has practiced exclusively in the area of property tax and assessment law with Walker Poole Nixon since 1992. He joined the firm as a partner in 2000 and is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Property Tax Association and various industry associations. Brad Nixon practices law through a professional corporation, Nixon Law Professional Corporation. 



David G. Fleet

LL.B., a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1979. David was a Member of the Provincial Legislature for High Park-Swansea from 1987 to 1990. David practices exclusively in the area of property tax and assessment law. David is the Past President of the Canadian Property Tax Association and has been active in the fields of arbitration and mediation. David Fleet practices law through a professional corporation, David G. Fleet Professional Corporation. 



Mark I. Fox

LL.B, a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1977. Mark has been a contributing author to Law Society of Upper Canada publications and a college lecturer in the field of real estate. His areas of practice include real estate, corporate and commercial matters and estates and estate planning.  



Kenneth R. West

B.A., J.D., LL.B. Ken is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Michigan State University and the University of Ottawa. Ken was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2007 and to the Bars of Florida (2006), Washington D.C.(2007) and United States Tax Court (2006). Prior to joining Walker Poole Nixon LLP, Ken's practice focused on civil litigation in Ontario. Ken is a member of the American Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Property Tax Association. Ken is an avid golfer and a novice sailor.
