Kenneth R. West

Ken’s practice includes a variety of assessment and property taxation matters for both private and public sector clients throughout Ontario and Canada.

Ken represents taxpayers and municipalities before the Assessment Review Board and Superior Courts in valuation disputes for all types of properties including industrial and large retail tenants. Ken advises clients on all matters relating to assessment and municipal taxation. Ken regularly assists clients with lease reviews and arbitrations to ensure fairness in apportionment of the property taxes.

Ken’s education includes a master’s degree focused on tax and tax policy from Osgoode Hall Law School (LL.M.), a law degree with a focus on international and comparative law, from Michigan State University (J.D.), a law degree from the University of Ottawa (LL.B.) and a B.A. in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University. Ken practices law through a professional corporation, West Professional Corporation.
